In a private ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Honorable Ophelia DeVore-Mitchell took an oath to serve as the New York representative on the President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts, headquartered at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Ophelia DeVore Mitchell brings to the Committee valuable experience as she has developed, counseled and guided so many successful performing artists.
When asked about her feelings regarding the appointment, Dr. DeVore-Mitchell said, “I am extremely honored. I would like to thank the President for the opportunity to be an integral working part of this outstanding committee which is dedicated primarily to perpetuating our great American culture.”
