She is revered not only because of her stunning physical beauty, poise, grace and charm, but also because of her exceptional intellect, gutsiness, strength of character, and her uncanny ability to effect change with diplomacy, determination and grace. She is a woman of unclouded vision, boundless drive, eternal positivism and an insatiable passion for life and the holistic development of people. Her transformational leadership was the catalyst for the acceptance of women of color in the modeling and beauty industry in America. She forever changed the landscape of the modeling business, and contributed to the emergence of people of color in other disciplines also.
Ms. DeVore has been my hero and mentor from the day we met. She has made a very positive impact in my life. She has truly facilitated my evolution, and prepared me for success in a competitive business environment. Indeed, she groomed me in etiquette and social graces, but also taught me to be confident, focused, and how to develop my strength of character by upholding my ethical values. As a result of her coaching, mentoring, belief in me and her unwavering support, I am on the way to fulfilling many of my entrepreneurial, professional , personal and humanitarian goals.
